Pontoon Assistant

The Pontoon Assistants are responsible for cleaning boats & jetskis, Powerboat Club customer handovers, refuelling boats & jetskis and helping to maintain the fleet.

They will be moving and mooring our fleet of luxury powerboats and jetskis as well as filling out online documentation and records.

This role would be ideal for someone who is looking for a responsible position that is focused on stepping into the yachting industry.

Must have:

  • Powerboat Level 2 certificate
  • a strong work ethic
  • tidy personal appearance
  • good communication skills
  • can do attitude
  • excellent time keeping

In return for hard work we will help to train our pontoon assistants in further RYA qualifications and relevant industry skills. The job requires flexible working hours starting at 7am with potentially late finishes during the summer months, especially on weekends. We provide uniform and all materials necessary to complete your work.

RYA Power Scheme Instructors

We need full time instructors to join our multi award win school in Poole Harbour, Get Lost Powerboat Training.

The role includes teaching RYA Powerboat Level 2 and PWC courses as well as shore based courses if the candidate is qualified.

As well as teaching the role includes:

  • supervision of the Pontoon Assistants
  • fleet maintenance
  • customer handovers and hand backs of charter boats & jetskis
  • Online paperwork & documentation
  • General duties as required by the both the school and the powerboat club.

Must have:

  • Powerboat Instructor certificate
  • PWC Instructor certificate
  • Own transport
  • Able to work punctually and to a high standard even when unsupervised.

Hours of work:

The role is seasonal for 10 months of the year from 1st of February to the 30th of November.

The work is divided into alternating weekly shifts of 7 days on followed by 7 days off.

The hours of work are generally 08:00 to 17:00 with overtime available during summer and shorter days during winter.
